Because He Lives

V1
God sent His Son, they call Him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive,
He lives and died to pay my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Saviour lives.

Chorus:
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know, He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

V2

And then one say, I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war in pain,
And then as death gives way to vict'ry,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He reigns. (Chorus)

Easter Song

With the everlasting hills.
Now the seasons and the sea

Rock and rills, Alleluia. (Chorus)

The keys of death and hell

Unto His own, His anthem raise.
So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus.

Majesty, worship his Majesty,
Jesus, who died now glorified, King of all kings.

So my soul longs after you.

Pilgrim Song

V1
Man is lonely by birth
Man is only a pilgrim on earth.
Born to be king, time is but a temporary thing
Only on loan while on earth.

Like the wind in the tree
Man has been rather reckless and free.
Thrown far and wide, he longs to settle down beside
The stream flowing through eternity.

V3
Like the grass on the lawn
He will pass by the way and be gone.
A lesson to learn, we walk but once there's no return
Time, is always moving on.

V4
Man is longing for one
For a song and a place in the sun.
A home up above, where everyday is lived in love
For rest when the journey is done.

Flows from Calv'ry's mountain.

In the Cross, in the Cross,
Be my glory, ever.
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross a trembling soul
Love and mercy found me.
There the bright and morning star
Shed its beams around me. (Chorus)

Near the Cross, O Lamb of God
Bring its scenes before me.
Help me walk from day to day
With its shadow o'er me. (Chorus)

Hoping, trusting ever.
Till I reach the golden strand
Just beyond the river. (Chorus)

Against you, you alone, have I sinned;
What is evil in your sight I have done. (Chorus)

That you may be justified when you give sentence.
And be without reproach when you judge.
O see, in guilt, I was born.
A sinner was I conceived. (Chorus)

Then in the secret of my heart teach me wisdom.

O wash me, I shall be whiter than snow. (Chorus)

The emblem of suff'ring and shame.

Till my trophies at last I lay down.
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it someday for a crown.

Has a wondrous attraction for me.
For the dear Lamb of God, left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary. (Chorus)

In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine
A wondrous beauty I see.
For t'was on that old cross, Jesus suffered and died
To pardon and sanctity me. (Chorus)

V4
To the old rugged cross, I will ever be true
Its shame and reproach gladly bear.
Then He'll call me someday to my home far away
Where His glory forever I’ll share. (Chorus)

Victory

O Cross, reign victorious!
O Cross, Thou wilt redeem us.

Our courage grows dim
He lays to rest our restlessness in Him
